Clay: Create Your Buddha is a ceramic and meditation workshop designed and inspired by traditional antique techniques. Sumito’s Art Therapy is based on meditation and is focused on putting you in touch with your essence. It helps you to discover a state of presence that guides you beyond the mind and that pushes you to create spontaneously and in absolute freedom. Whatever you create becomes the mirror of your present moment. The creative act comes from an intuition, and intuition comes from a space of inner silence.

The Buddha symbol signifies peace, awakening, and enlightenment. It is the symbol of an eternal divinity of wisdom and embodies spiritual perfection. These qualities exist in all of us and one technique to recognize them is through the heart, is meditation.

In this workshop, we experience the transformation of an emotion. Through our hands and presence, we create a work that reflects our essence, giving shape to an object starting from a raw material. We create our Buddha in total freedom of expression, a symbol that will manifest spontaneously, arising from listening and connecting with ourselves.

Thanks to the alchemy of meditation, by experiencing the art of transformation, you create your Buddha, a symbol of your essence. Through meditation, dance, and art therapy techniques, we begin a journey into our interiority.

Meditation is the greatest source of creativity: energies blocked by tensions and anxieties are released, as are negative beliefs about ourselves and our creativity. Through meditation, this energy finds freedom in expressing itself.

Creativity blooms in our being, emerging spontaneously and naturally, showing a vitality that was previously dormant. Meditation allows us to learn to be present to what we do with renewed passion and to welcome its fruits by accepting them with wonder.

Clay, the material we will use, has the power to receive any emotion or mood. It can change shape also thanks to the imprint of a slight gesture because, like everything living, it is always in transformation. The art and technique of getting a shape from matter arises from relaxation and spontaneity. Simply, we use art to enter ourselves and ourselves to enter art.

This workshop gives you the freedom to experiment with being creative and to share with other people a journey into play, awareness, the beauty of creating with charm, curiosity and wonder.

To participate in this workshop, no particular requirements are required. It can also be your first experience.

“Whatsoever you do, if you do it joyfully, if you do it lovingly, if your act of doing it is not purely economical, then it is creative. If you have something growing out of it within you, if it gives you growth, it is spiritual, it is creative, it is divine. You become more divine as you become more creative.” OSHO, A Sudden Clash of Thunder
