The closest international airports are Florence and Pisa.

From Pisa Airport one can travel  by train to Siena (changing in Empoli). There is also a direct bus from Pisa Airport to Siena

When arriving by flight to Rome either: Roma Fiumicino or Roma Ciampino it is most convenient to travel by bus to Siena Railway Station. First you will need go by train (from Fiumicino Aeroporto or Ciampino) to ROMA TIBURTINA (from Fiumicino don't take the train that goes direct to Termini as it does not stop at Tiburtina.)

At Roma Tiburtina - cross the parking area (with your back to main entrance) and you will find the main bus stop.
There you will find the bus to Siena (the company is called SENA). In busy periods - such as holidays etc. make sure take make a reservation

you would need to take the bus not later than the one at 15.30 in order to be in time for the
pickup service (only in connection with group starts

From Siena railway station we provide a shuttle service to Miasto the day before the beginning of the group, when the group starts in the morning. When a group starts in the evening the pickup service usually is at 6.30 pm the same day. Contact us to know the time. The meeting point is inside the railway station, in front of the ticket office.

From Milan, autostrada A1:

From Rome, autostrada A1:
Leave the highway at the exit SINALUNGA and take the superstrada (dual carriage way) for SIENA, then for GROSSETO. You will find a sign for ROSIA on your right.
Go to ROSIA and at the cross turn left. After 6 kms there is a cross where you turn right (towards COLLE VAL D'ELSA); after 1 km you will find an unmade road on the left. It is sign-posted OSHO MIASTO and COTORNIANO, where you arrive after 5 kms.

From Grosseto:
Take the superstrada (dual carriage way) for SIENA. You will find a sign on the left side for ROSIA. Then follow the indications as above.

(NB! If you use a navigator please insert the following coordinates N 43.24697°, E 11.17038°. From there turn to left (when coming from Colle di Val d' Elsa) and proceed along a dirt road uphill for 5 km)


When you come to Miasto without participating in a group and travel by train, you have to arrive in Siena.

When you come to Miasto to take part in a group, you need to arrive on the previous evening, before 21.30.
