WHEN THE BODY HOLDS WHAT THE MIND HAS FORGOTTEN

“…And you say, ‘And it is as if You would touch all the wounds of my heart so that they can heal.’ Yes, Turiya, people go on hiding their wounds; they are afraid of exposure. They do not want anybody to know their wounds. They pretend that they do not have any wounds; and the more you hide them, repress them, the bigger they become.

To be a disciple is to expose yourself, not to hide your wounds. If you can expose your wounds to love and to compassion, there is no other miracle greater than that. Love heals. Soon you will not find even a trace of the wounds, and when you are healed completely, your life becomes not a burden, not a drag, but a joy and a dance.

My own teaching is: Dance all the way to God.

People who are walking don’t know that this is not the way to reach to God. He does not understand the language of walking; he understands only the language of dance and song and ecstasy. But if you are full of wounds, how can you dance and how can you laugh and how can you produce blossoms out of your being?

One of the main functions of a mystery school is to help you, to encourage you to open all your wounds. And the moment you open them to love, to compassion, to the presence of the master, they heal very quickly. And a man without wounds is a man who can be said to be whole. In fact, the whole man is the only holy man….” OSHO, The Rebellious Spirit

We all carry wounds.

On our path of growth, we may have explored them, tried to understand them psychologically, and done our best to heal them. Yet painful feelings and automatic reactions may still arise, leaving us wondering why some wounds seem so difficult to heal.

One reason is that the body remembers what the mind cannot always access.

When we grow up in an environment that allows the body’s natural impulses and emotions to be expressed, the nervous system is able to return naturally to balance after painful experiences. For many of us, however, this natural capacity was interrupted by fear, conditioning, or the absence of the support we needed.

As a result, even when we understand our patterns intellectually, our body may continue to react as if the original threat were still present. In these moments we are not only responding to what is happening here and now; we are also responding to unresolved experiences held within the nervous system.

For example, some trauma-informed approaches, such as Somatic Experiencing®, describe these traces as ‘implicit memory’: experiences recorded by the body and the nervous system in the early years of life, when we did not yet have words to describe them. Even simple unmet needs—such as not being held when we were crying—may leave imprints that continue to shape the way we experience ourselves and relate to others.

The good news is that the body has an extraordinary capacity to heal. Although we cannot change the past, we can create the conditions for unfinished experiences to be acknowledged, expressed, integrated, and transformed.

In The Body Remembers, Dance Alchemy brings together meditation, somatic trauma healing, inner child exploration, conscious movement, and emotional expression.

Within a safe, loving, and playful environment, you are invited to listen to the wisdom of your body, allowing tensions and traumatic imprints to unwind naturally rather than forcing them to change.

As this process unfolds, the body reconnects with its innate capacity for self-regulation and healing—a capacity that may have been interrupted by conditioning and fear, but has never been lost.

Through group processes, somatic practices, conscious touch, and therapeutic hypnosis, we deepen healing while opening the door to greater creativity, vitality, and joy. We discover how to respond to life with presence instead of reacting from the wounds of the past.

This workshop is open to anyone who wishes to deepen their meditation practice and bring loving awareness to the wounds they carry.

When we learn to trust the wisdom of the body, meditation, movement, and dance become powerful gateways to healing, freedom, creativity, and a more joyful way of living.
