Dance: Moving in Presence
“Dance till the stars come down from the rafters! Dance, dance, dance till you drop!” W.H. Auden
Dance, as experienced in the growth paths of Osho Miasto, arises from meditation.
It is a practice of conscious movement in which the body becomes a space for deep listening and inner exploration.
It is not choreography.
It is not performance.
It is a listening body.
It is meditation in motion.
It is freedom.
Within a safe and non-judgmental space, participants are invited to let the body move following the rhythm of the breath, emotions, and sensations that arise spontaneously.
What matters is not how you move, but where the movement comes from.
Every gesture becomes authentic when it arises from sensing, not from the will to do.
This Dance follows no rules and no predefined structures. It emerges when we allow ourselves to be moved by the rhythm of the breath, a sound, an emotion.
It is a ritual of feeling, where the body can express what words cannot say: joy, pain, lightness, grounding, vulnerability, transformation.
Through conscious movement, physical and emotional tensions can be released, the body–heart–awareness connection is reawakened, and a space of care, centering, and presence opens.
There is no search for the “right” movement, but for a true one.
It is not about moving well, but about moving with awareness.
This practice is open to everyone, even to those with no previous experience in dance or meditation.
The only requirement is the willingness to inhabit the body with gentleness and to allow oneself to be danced by whatever arises.
“If you want to do something, DANCE: do something intense and physical but not mental.”

“Live, dance, eat, sleep, do things as totally as possible. And remember again and again: whenever you catch yourself creating any problem, slip out of it, immediately. Whenever you notice yourself slipping into a problem, try to pull yourself back run, jump, dance but do not enter the problem. Do something immediately so that the energy that was creating the problem becomes fluid, not frozen, dissolves, and returns to the cosmos.”

“If people can dance a little more, sing a little more, be a little crazier, their energy will be flowing more, and their problems will by and by disappear. Hence, I insist so much on dance. Dance to orgasm; let the whole energy become dance, and suddenly you will see that you don’t have any head – the stuck energy in the head is moving all around, creating beautiful patterns, pictures, movement. And when you dance there comes a moment when your body is no longer a rigid thing, it becomes flexible, flowing. When you dance there comes a moment when your boundary is no longer so clear; you melt and merge with the cosmos, the boundaries are mixing.”
OSHO
“You dance because you like dancing; you dance because you delight in it. If somebody appreciates, good, you feel grateful. If nobody appreciates, it is none of your business to be worried about it. You danced, you enjoyed, you are already fulfilled.
If you really dance, thinking stops. You go on and on… And if you are really dancing – not managing it but allowing it to manage you, allowing it to possess you if you are possessed by dance, thinking stops.”
