Using didactic teaching, videos, guided rituals and meditations, sharing, and journaling, we will learn about how to support loved ones, friends and ourselves at the end of life.
MODULO 3
In the third module, we will focus on ways to share these teachings about death and dying with friends, clients, or family members who might be interested in preparing themselves for a more conscious and peaceful death.
We will learn how to work with the “Best Three Months” process, an End-of-Life exploration and Coaching method, originally designed at the Conscious Dying Institute in the US.
We examine five areas or Domains of Life—Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Meaning/Purpose, and After Death Care—to discover our personal end of life values and wishes.
We’ll explore a group tool, the “Death Café”, an informal gathering to open a space for people to talk about death, and to share their thoughts and feelings about death with like-minded people. Traditionally in Death Cafes, coffee, cake, and snacks are served to sweeten the social atmosphere!
We will introduce meditations to help patients with pain and anxiety, and to bring comfort at the end of life. We will learn how to create simple “around the bedside” rituals that include the family and help them say goodbye to their loved one.
